原木?實木?大有分別!

log? Solid wood? Big difference!

There are often customers who think that logs and solid wood are the same thing. In fact, there is a big difference between the two. wooden material. After the wood is felled from the forest land, the wood will first be sent to the factory. After preliminary treatment such as cutting off branches and air-drying, it will become a dry wood that is not easy to deform. Wood or panels that can be directly processed into furniture are called "solid wood".

Log furniture :
Because the original wood furniture is not processed too much, it does not contain artificial boards (so it does not contain formaldehyde and other harmful substances) , and only has basic protection measures (such as wood wax oil) , so the appearance is more natural and the overall structure is solid. However, the process is relatively complicated, the price is relatively expensive, and the production is also limited by the size of the wood. When choosing log furniture, you must consider the wood species, because some low-quality log furniture will crack or deform due to the nature of the wood itself, and it is not easy to maintain. Log furniture should avoid direct sunlight, and the temperature and humidity should not be too high or too low.

Solid wood furniture:
After cutting, grinding, polishing and other processes, solid wood still retains the wood grain and color, which is stronger and more durable than synthetic wood. Since solid wood furniture is made with a new technology, it saves more wood and the production cost is lower than that of log furniture. However, due to certain limitations in the manufacturing process and the large amount of glue used, there are certain requirements for tree species. Since solid wood has undergone many processing processes, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the furniture is made of real solid wood or solid wood veneer when purchasing. To judge solid wood, you can observe the texture of the furniture corners, and the smooth connection of wood grains is the real solid wood.
