Wooden Dishwashing

Modern people buy kitchenware and tableware, in addition to pursuing practicality, they also pay great attention to texture and appearance; among several materials, wood products can be said to be the most popular material, with beautiful wood grain and wood fragrance The wooden products give people a "warm feeling", which can also greatly enhance the vision of cooking when used for decoration.
However, at the same time, many people are discouraged because they don't know how to clean. This time I will teach you some tips about cleaning wooden tableware .
1. Do not soak
Wooden tableware and kitchen utensils cannot be left in the sink. After use, they must be washed and dried immediately to prevent moisture from seeping into them.

2. Do not put in dishwasher and dryer
Wooden tableware and kitchen utensils cannot be put into the dishwasher or dryer. The large amount of humidity in the dishwasher and the hot air of the dryer will make it more likely to mold, deform and shorten its life. Don't be lazy! Wash it with bare hands.

3. Gently "scrub" with a soft sponge
Wooden products are not suitable for scrubbing with a pickle cloth or steel brush. In addition to damaging the lacquer coating on the surface, it is also easy to scratch the wood and create gaps, allowing dirt to penetrate into the capillary pores. Use a soft sponge to soak up dishwashing detergent and water, remove oil stains by "scrubbing", and rinse under running water.

4. Be sure to dry after washing
It is best to dry the cleaned kitchen utensils immediately with clean kitchen paper towels, and put them in a ventilated place to dry naturally; and be careful not to stack wooden kitchen utensils together, they must be placed on the utensils rack to keep the utensils away from each other , to prevent moisture condensation.

5. Where to save matters
Wooden tableware and kitchen utensils must be placed in a dry and ventilated environment, and avoid places with heavy moisture and heaters such as faucets, ovens, microwave ovens and gas stoves, so as to avoid mildew; in addition, they should not be exposed to the sun. Failure to do so may cause deformation and cracking.

6. Extend life with daily maintenance
There are some oil products on the market that are specially used to maintain wooden tableware and kitchen utensils , but in fact, you don't need to buy them specially, and you can use the seasonings you always have at home to achieve the purpose of maintenance.
Mix olive oil and white vinegar at a ratio of 2:1, dip it with a clean cotton cloth and wipe it evenly on the wood surface, the moisturizing olive oil can penetrate deep into the pores, cover the wood fiber, and form a protective layer; while white vinegar It has mild cleaning power, helps to sterilize and deodorize, and makes cleaning and maintenance in place at one time.
Wood is quite smelly, and you can also use a lemon to deodorize it. Squeeze lemon juice or apply lemon peel to the surface to help remove odors.
