"Rainwood" creates fantasy art!

Rain tree (Suar Wood Tree), also known as Rain Tree or Monkeypod, originated from southern Mexico to Peru and Brazil, and then gradually extended to Southeast Asia and Hawaii. Rainwood is often used to make furniture such as dining tables, benches and mirror frames. Rainwood has been used in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia for decades.

Rainwood is one of the extremely durable and relatively affordable woods, so many furniture manufacturers will choose rainwood to produce high-quality and fashionable home products.

The rain tree, which can reach 25 meters in height and 40 centimeters in diameter, has a large canopy and grows mainly in fields and forests. Because rain trees are easy to grow, rain wood furniture is in great demand in Southeast Asia and around the world. Rainwood is a hardwood and grows faster than other hardwoods, making it a favorite of lumber producers.

In addition to furniture, artists will also use rainwood carvings; each layer has a different color, and each raintree in the forest has its own unique texture. The artwork of rainwood sculptures is fascinating.

Before making furniture, rainwood must be dried, and the dried wood will become hard and durable. The quality of rain wood is often compared with black walnut wood (Black Walnut wood), of course, the price of the former is cheaper. In addition, rainwood is also regarded as a substitute for mahogany, because of its quality and price, it has certain competitiveness in the market. Like other hardwoods, rainwood furniture can generally last more than ten years if it is properly treated and maintained.
